Private Patients
Private consultations are available for patients who wish to be seen outside of the NHS or who have private medical insurance.
To arrange a private consultation, please contact the private patient coordinator at your preferred hospital. You will need:
- • Your insurance details (if applicable)
- • A referral letter from your GP (recommended but not always required)
- • Any relevant medical records or imaging
Most major insurance providers are accepted. Please check with your insurer regarding coverage for orthopaedic consultations and procedures.
If you have a medical emergency, please call 999 or attend your nearest Emergency Department immediately.
For urgent post-operative concerns or complications, please contact the ward where you were treated or the hospital switchboard who can connect you to the on-call orthopaedic team.
